Ricability is the trading name of the Research Institute for Consumer Affairs (RICA). We are a national research charity dedicated to providing independent information of value to disabled and older consumers.

Under our trading name of Ricability, we research and publish consumer reports. They are all based on rigorous research and provide practical information needed by disabled and older consumers.

The Relatives & Residents Association exists for older people needing, or living in, residential care and the families and friends left behind.

Relatives often need a listening ear to cope with feelings of guilt about their perceived inability to carry on caring. They may want to know how to get help in understanding the complex rules and regulations about paying for care or to complain about the quality of care their loved ones are receiving.

R&RA helps in all these ways, quietly sympathetic, authoritative in its advice and always fiercely supportive of the frail vulnerable people it seeks to help.

The Arthritis Research Campaign (arc), founded in 1936, raises funds to promote medical research into the cause, treatment and cure of arthritic conditions; to educate medical students, doctors and allied healthcare professionals about arthritis; and provide information to the general public

Many older homeowners, or households that include a disabled person, have a real need to repair, improve or adapt their living space. But the prospect of having building work done is daunting enough without the dangers of cowboy builders and concerns over how to pay for the work, so many people are put off the idea entirely.

It’s for this reason that the Home Improvement Trust, a non-profit organization, runs the Houseproud scheme, in partnership with local authorities and home improvement agencies across England and Wales . Houseproud helps homeowners or leaseholders aged 60 or over – or homeowners of any age who are disabled or have a disabled person living with them – to carry out and fund major work on their homes

All Together Now! is a registered charity

Our aim is to provide a first class news and information service to people whose lives are affected by disability; age or health issues.

The only specialist national charity for people in their last years and their much loved, much needed companion animals.

A network of 16,000 volunteers “hold hands” with owners to provide vital loving care for their pets. We keep them together - for example, we’ll walk a dog every day for a housebound owner, we’ll foster pets when owners need hospital care, we’ll fetch the cat food, or even clean out the bird cage, etc.

When staying at home is no longer an option, our Pet Friendly Care Homes Register lists residential/nursing homes happy to accept residents with pets. And when a pet is bereaved we take on full time, life time care.

The Cinnamon Trust - Peace of mind for owners, love, care and safety for beloved pets. But helping 14,000 people a year with 20,000 animals and running two home from home sanctuaries costs - We need your help to make sure we’re always there".
